Services / UPS Systems

Critical power that holds when the grid doesn't.

We install, service and test uninterruptible power supplies for the loads that cannot drop: server rooms, control systems, lab and medical equipment.

When you need it

Signs it's time to call

New critical loads

Equipment that must ride through an outage needs a properly sized UPS, distribution and a safe way to service it.

Aging batteries

Batteries wear out. Many VRLA batteries last roughly 3 to 5 years, depending on heat and use. A capacity test shows where yours stand.

A UPS that failed

Load dropped during an outage, a transfer failed, or alarms keep returning. We find out why.

Growth or change

You added load or need longer runtime. We check what the UPS and its distribution can really carry.

What's included

Scope of work

  • Load and runtime assessment to support UPS sizing
  • Input and output distribution, breakers and maintenance bypass
  • Single-phase and three-phase UPS and battery cabinet installation
  • Battery replacement, including coordination of recycling
  • Startup, transfer and load/runtime testing
  • Alarm, monitoring and network card setup
  • Service and troubleshooting of existing systems
  • Standby generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) connections, startup and transfer testing
  • Static transfer switches, PDUs and remote power panels
  • Battery cabinets, disconnects and monitoring

What you receive

  • Written load and runtime test results
  • Labeled equipment and updated one-line diagram
  • Posted bypass and transfer procedures
  • A walkthrough with your facilities team

How it works

From first call to finished work

  1. AssessReview your loads, runtime needs, room conditions and existing distribution.
  2. Plan the windowSchedule work around operations, using maintenance bypass where the design allows.
  3. Install or replaceMount, connect, label and verify equipment and batteries.
  4. Test under loadConfirm transfer, runtime and alarms actually work.
  5. Hand overDeliver records and train your team.

Good to know

Final UPS selection should be made with your engineer or the manufacturer. We support sizing and do the electrical work. For internal repairs or warranty service on a specific brand, the manufacturer's service team may need to be involved, and we will tell you that up front.

FAQ

UPS Systems questions

How often should UPS batteries be tested?

Follow the manufacturer's schedule and your facility policy. Many sites run periodic capacity or impedance tests and replace batteries on trend instead of waiting for failure.

What is a maintenance bypass?

A switched path that lets the UPS be isolated for service while the load stays powered from the utility. It is the difference between a planned service and an outage.

Can you work on UPS brands we already own?

We handle the electrical side: distribution, batteries, bypass, installation and troubleshooting. Manufacturer-specific internal repairs may need factory-authorized service.

Do you size the UPS?

We help size it from your load data and runtime needs. The final selection is made with your engineer or the manufacturer.
