Services / Electrical Troubleshooting

Find the cause, not just the symptom.

Intermittent problems are the expensive ones. We work through them methodically, with instruments, not guesses.

When you need it

Signs it's time to call

Breakers that trip

Overloads, shorts, ground faults and failing breakers all look alike until they are measured.

Flicker and voltage drop

Loose connections, undersized conductors and heavy loads can all cause it.

Heat or burning smells

Hot panels, outlets or connections are warnings. Do not ignore them.

Equipment that fails

Repeated failures often trace back to power quality or supply problems.

What's included

Scope of work

  • Load, voltage and current measurement
  • Thermal imaging to spot hot connections

  • Loose neutral and connection problems
  • Motor and equipment supply problems
  • Power-quality issues such as imbalance and harmonics
  • Homes: tripping breakers, dead outlets, flickering and GFCI trips
  • EV charger and UPS electrical faults
  • Switchgear, panelboards and transformers

How it works

From first call to finished work

  1. ObserveSymptoms, history and what changed.
  2. MeasureVoltage, current, insulation and temperature.
  3. IsolateNarrow down to the circuit, device or connection.
  4. FixCorrect the cause to code.
  5. VerifyRe-test and report what we found.

Safety first

If you see sparks, smell burning or find a hot panel, shut power off if it is safe to do so and contact us. In an emergency, call emergency services.

FAQ

Electrical Troubleshooting questions

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Usually an overload, a short, a ground fault or a failing breaker. Resetting it repeatedly or fitting a bigger breaker can be dangerous. It needs diagnosing.

Do you handle urgent requests?

Tell us it is urgent in your request. We will tell you honestly how soon we can be there.

Will you fix it as well?

Yes. Once we find the cause we can repair it, or give you a written finding if you prefer to use someone else.

Can you chase intermittent problems?

Yes. We can log voltage and current over time to catch faults that don't show up on a single visit.
